The concert program Musical Stories of Latin America takes you on a musical journey through the vibrant rhythms and lyrical melodies of the South American continent. Singer Barbora de Nunes-Cambraia and guitarist Michal Svoboda present a colorful repertoire ranging from well-known composers such as Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887–1959), Astor Piazzolla (1921–1992), and Chiquinha Gonzaga (1847–1935), to lesser-known artists whose work reflects the beauty and passion of this diverse culture. la búsqueda / The Search
Every artist strives to explore and preserve tradition in their work, while also seeking new creative horizons. This is exactly what characterizes this concert program, featuring compositions mainly by Spanish and South American composers who loved to return to the musical roots of their nations, while also engaging in the creation of new modern music. The concert includes works by “searching” composers such as Manuel de Falla (1876–1946), Isaac Albéniz (1860–1909), Joaquín Rodrigo (1901–1999), and others. The program can be performed as a solo recital or as a duo with singer Radka Rubešová or Barbora de Nunes-Cambraia.
Épigraphes françaises / French Epigraphs
An audience-friendly, purely French program, offering musical delight to those who may not frequently attend classical concerts, as well as musical gems and curiosities for true classical music enthusiasts. Audiences are invited to explore both the famous and forgotten corners of French music – from Baroque and contemporary compositions to chanson. A significant portion of the concert features new arrangements by Michal Svoboda. The program includes works by François Couperin (1668–1733), Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924), Georges Bizet (1838–1875), and others. Performed as a duo with singer Radka Rubešová.
Solo Recital
Michal Svoboda’s wide-ranging repertoire spans from the Renaissance to the present day, offering various programming options for a solo concert. Organizers thus have the opportunity to “mix and match” a performance tailored to their wishes.
